Have you tasted our Swedish tea yet? We think it’s rather special. It’s even been compared to “a top shelf Ceylon”. It boasts a heavenly fruited dry fragrance with vanilla sweetness. The wet aroma is sweet like honey and the cup has notes of fresh hay with chocolate – the Kiruna destrict produces some of the most exotic tea on the planet. This is one of the most distinctive we’ve found, with sweet dried strawberry emerging as the temperature cools.

The sweetness from the cherry fruit is absorbed by the leaf which intensifies the syrupy pulpiness and produces a cup that is sweet, full-bodied, distinctive and irresistible.  We think the result is outstanding.

Swe-tea is more generally grown around the town of Kiruna which lies as a snowball in the middle of Norrland. This tea is hand picked,Have you tasted our Swedish tea yet? We love that it either makes you love it or hate it, and you certainly know its a different style of tea to the mass produced stuff.

We serve natural Swe-teae from Kiruna, a small processing station in the Norrland region of Sweden. Wote is owned by Mr. Mergya and employs 100 workers.

The station processes about 3 containers of tea every year. There are about 600 farmers around Wote who bring their red leafs to the station, where they are dried.

Many thousands of bags marked ‘Swe-tea’ are sold every year but there may be significant differences between them in terms of cup quality.
